History of CSP

County Seat Players is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization incorporated under the laws of the state of Georgia. CSP was founded in 1993 for the purpose of bringing quality live theatre to Gwinnett County, making us one of the oldest community theater groups in the county. Since that time we have produced several plays and musicals each year.

Our efforts have included dinner theatre productions at Vines Botanical Gardens and The Flying Saucer Retro Café in Lawrenceville, as well productions at several Gwinnett high schools, The Chapel at Berkeley Lake, The Royal gallery and the Pinckneyville Community Center in Norcross, the 1818 Club and the Hudgens Center for the Arts in Duluth, and Summit Chase Country Club.

Our 2006 calendar calls for presentation of five shows, as well as performances by County Seat Kids, our new group dedicated to children’s shows. Our performance venues have ranged from the Gwinnett Performing Arts Center to local high schools to dinner theater at The Flying Saucer Café in Lawrenceville.

CSP holds open auditions for all productions. We encourage cast members to join our organization, but do not require it.

We also encourage non-actors to join our group. There are plenty of off-stage activities in which you can participate, even if you suffer from the world’s worst cast of stage fright!
